Would like to thank Claire Martin for advising that Dan had won players player and parents player of the year for LOASS FC who are linked to Leyton Orient FC, yet another ex pupil from the VNGS camp.
We brought 4 young lads to England (age 13-15) to enjoy the football culture of your great nation. We enjoyed every minute and our session with Vince Nicoll and it turned out to be a great day and all four boys were very happy with the session and energy Vince brought. Thanks to Vince for a great workout that inspired us much. We will be coming back for sure, thanks!
My son has been training in the early-bird sessions for around 5 months now. The difference that Chris' coaching has made to my son, is phenomenal. It has made him so confident, not only as a goalkeeper, but in a team environment in general. I can't thank you enough. VNGS should be exceedingly proud of their coaching staff, and what they achieve with young goalkeepers.
The session was a great success with 15 budding goalkeepers enjoying a great session and with so much enthusiasm. Can't wait to welcome everyone back in two weeks
Luke & I would like to thank Vince, Jon and the rest of the coaches for all the work you put in to Luke (the voice).
He has been offered a years contract after the match at Arsenal at Dagenham & Redbridge centre of excellence which he has taken up after talking to West Ham who are going to keep an eye on his progress.
I haven't been over there yet but he seem to be loving it, I'll keep in touch to let you know how he's getting on.
Another great session and Easter has been perfect for Pete Jr. He has proved himself a great keeper this season and his willingness to learn and train can only be due to the coaches encouragement and knowledge they pass on. Due to his Success this season Proffesional clubs are now looking at him lets hope that if it all works out for him then he will come back to Vince to say a big thank you.
I would just like to say a big thank you to Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping school and their coaches for teaching my son all that he knows. He has come on leaps and bounds in the last year and was awarded with the Manager's player trophy at his clubs presentation night and he was as was me and his Dad very proud. If it wasn't for your dedication and hard work he wouldn't be where he is today. Thanks again.
Big THANK YOU to all the coaches at Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping School for all your hard work, Hafiz is loving every minute of every session he attends. Thanks to Vince, he was able to attend an ID day at Brentford FC and despite only playing football for 6 month and coming to Vince's sessions since late November, we got great feedback. Hafiz will continue to work and train hard and is looking forward to other opportunities like this to arise.
Would like to say a big thank you to Chris and to all the other goalie trainers who have been teaching my son to be a great goalkeeper. Since he started he has improved considerably and it's all down to the professionals that you are. I highly recommend Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping Schools they are friendly and very supportive and he loves it so much..........thanks again.
The school is first class. You have trainers there that are patient with the kids. They make it fun for all and as a goal keepers are a different breed to out field players they all seem to click. My son loves it and I have seen a significant improvemnt to his goal keeping skills ever since he has been attending these sessions. Highly recommended.
I used the last month Vince's instructions for training and warm-up. All I can say is that everything he recommended is extremely helpful and everyone could learn something. Great work Vince!
Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping School.... Well what more can i say one of the best goalkeeping schools around the quality of the coaches will get the best out of you.
Have just attended the 2 days session with Vinnie and Chris last week. Thanks to both of you and it was a good way back in after injury. Totally enjoyed it!!!!!!!
JP
Did you enjoy the session(s) ? Peter had a great time very enthusiastic considering this is not his normal position. He has taken away some good techniques and couldn?t wait to show his dad when he got home. Even with the bad weather today it didn?t dampen his spirit.
Did you consider it Value For Money ? Yes, very good value
Which was your favourite drill ? Goalie wars
Which was your least favourite drill ? Don?t have one enjoyed it all
Any other views or comments, please let us know. Pete did feel it was unfair the size of the goals that was used which was his only negative comment. Considering my wife is not a fan of football or the people associated with it she was very complimentary of yourself and Vince so thanks for that a real first. I am sure Peter will attend again and I hope to bring my other team keeper if I can convince his mum. Well done good job.
PS. looks like Kelly?s boy is keen on coming to Elite Colts U7?s so thanks for that as well.
Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping School.... Well what more can I say other than they beat other GK schools hands down! The quality of coaching is second to none and having more than one coach at each session help the students get more "one to one" time..
Also like the fact that the coaches rotate between the groups as each one can bring something different to the coaching.. For example my son has learnt a new way of back pedalling from Chris that he finds so much more efficient to the previous method he's used for 6 years..
Training and exercises are made fun but at the same time conducted very professionally, Vince and the team capture and keep the attention of the students with the minimum of effort..
And the "homework" that Vince sends them home with is invaluable as well. All this for just £6.00 for 90 minutes.. If you're looking for a GK school that don't see it as "just a source of income" then VNGS is the school to try..
Just spoken to Neville Southall through Goalkeeper Magazine to see whether I would be suitable to attend his Bootcamp I think it went well so fingers crossed as I am sure he will help my game and coaching
I used the last month Vince's instructions for training and warm-up. All I can say is that everything he recommended is extremely helpful and everyone could learn something. Great work Vince!
Being a professional goalkeeper I have made contact with Jon at Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping Schools to offer my support to the way they conduct their goalkeeping school. The passion and desire to cater for the number one spot on a football pitch being the goalkeeper, having a website such as there?s which provides so much and more for keepers of all ages, abilities and all levels. Both Jon and Vince are more than happy to pass on their opinions around grassroots football which I can reinforce is used to drive professionals like me that still play, myself currently playing for Boston UNITED FC , some might even remember me playing for Dagenham and Redbridge FC and to the youngest just starting out.
I recommend parents and keepers to look out for Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping Schools and the coaching Vince and his team cater for which is always, great value for money, professional and enjoyabl
Aaron came to the Easter GK training day and enjoyed it very much. As a 14 year old, the smile on his face when I picked him up said it all, thanks to Vince and the coaches for working him on the day and making the day an enjoyable one.
JP has been under Vinnie and the coaches guidance for about 4 or 5 years now and still shows the passion and eagerness in attending most weeks and on training days as he did in the early days. I have watched him improve and develop and would like to thank Vinnie et all for their help. "We" travel up from Benfleet each Monday night for training and the distance is worth it to gain such niche and specialised guidance. My thanks must also go to Jon for his sterling efforts especially in recent days where we may have little choice but in having to find JP a new club next season, his network connections even spread out to the realms of the Southend and District Leagues. A thank you once again.
Someone recommended that i take my step son to see vince & Jon. He is 7 years old and like nothing more than playing football at every opportunity. The rare thing about him is, he only wants to play in goal. We took him to a few after school sessions and was recommended Vince& Jon. We took him to his first session before chirstmas. He was very very nervous, and at one point said he didnt want to go. I managed to talk him round and he finally decided to go. When we first arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. Once he got started he enjoyed it immensely. I have never seen him smile as much as he did on the way home after his first session.. He has spent the entire christmas break talking about it, especially Goal keeper wars. I
As an ex footballer myself, i was very impressed by the set up and atmosphere. I can definately see my son progressing and for filling his potential.
I joined vinnie's goalkeeping session when i first got into football around 9-10 years old, i played for a sunday league team and we didnt focus alot on my role as a goalkeeper, i can safely say that everything i know now is down to vinnie, all the drills and tips on every aspect of the game, from back pass to shot stopping to organising your back line to my positioning.
Currently i am playing for AFC Hornchurch U/18s in the Eastern Junior Alliance and also playing some reserve games and i am lucky enough to be training with the first team of a thursday night.
My favourite drill was the shooting gallery where there would be roughly eight player all with a ball in a dome shape from one corner of the 18 yard box to the other, vin would stand behind the goal and point to a player to strike, this drill helped your shot stopping, reaction time and positioning for a shot.
Thankyou Vin and Jon for everything,
Sidney Miller
Below is the feedback so far all in all I said it was very successful, with many expressing the need on a regular basis.
Ronnie U13's goes to Jim Stannard school but enjoyed Vince's better saying it was more fun
Peter enjoyed the training, with his favourite drill being Keeper Wars. He didn?t have a least favourite.
Having watched the training I thought Vince was excellent. The only negative for me was the wide age range and experience of the keepers taking part which meant that some of the drills took longer than they needed to in order to accommodate the younger boys. I would have said the youngest was only probably 6.
JOSHIA LOVE IT SO DID HIS MUM, IF THEY CAN DO A DEAL ON PRICE JOSHIA WILL GO EVERY WEEK BEST PART GOALKEEPER WAR NO BAD PARTS AT ALL SORRY I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO WATCH BILL
One of my boys was there (Scott)
Q1 - Better than he expected with a much better turn out than expected.
Q2 - Really enjoyable and would go again.
Q3- Jumping on the ball after a bounce
Q4- The warm up (ive explained this is important!)
Dillon really enjoyed the session. He said is was much better than he had expected. He thought he was going to be bored, stood in goal, being shot at with the coach ordering him where to stand.
He enjoyed all the drills but mostly when they were in pairs throwing the balls to each other, one over , one under. He least enjoyed the running drill.
Overall I would say it was a very worthwhile session that all the keepers seemed to have enjoyed.
The coach was very enthusiastic, patient and explained all the drills clearly and why they were being shown them.
Lee,
The feedback from my keeper Jamie was very positive, this was also the same feedback I received from his Mum.
He most enjoyed the drill where you had to bounce the ball then catch and fall to the ground to stop it spilling of another player getting to it.
He tells me there was nothing he did not enjoy.
I would certainly like these to be provided on a regular (weekly?) basis and am happy to contribute towards the cost for my keeper to attend?
Many thanks for Saturday 4th September , sorry I couldn't be there myself but the boys all really enjoyed the session. Feedback below :
Was it what you and your club expected ? Definitely.
Keepers and Parents feedback ? All those who took part really enjoyed it and gave us lots of ideas to help our own coaching sessions.
Which was your favourite drill ? Apparently "Goalie Wars" was really popular but all drills were enjoyable.
Which was your least favourite drill ? None , all drills were good.
Any other views or comments, please let us know. All in all an excellent session , we'll definitely look to book another session in a couple of months (paid of course!) , I'll liaise with Barry Edwards at my end.
Hi Jon
It is nice to know you are keeping up the good work in helping the community and football for the up and coming.
I am grateful for your help when I was at Romford. As you may well know I am at Loughborough Uni in my penultimate year of a 4 year stint.
I am on vacation until end of September and am busy trying to organise a marathon soccer match at the Uni in October. Best wishes
Ricardo Braganza
